Enjoying the View

Explore the beauty of our nearby natural wonders and spots of interest, led by the indefatigable Bobbi Callison. Outings range from easy paved walks to moderate trail hikes. Wear appropriate footwear for exploring outdoor trails; bring a water bottle, and a hat for sun protection. 

Forest Walking

Saturday, Sept. 21 | Tony Look Trail & Stevens Creek Park | 10:30 AM

This is a 2- to 3-mile hike on mostly flat trails; there is one uphill section to view Stevens Creek Dam. Most of the Tony Look Trail is in the shade; Stevens Creek is shade and sun.

 

Bring a bag lunch if you like - we'll sit at the picnic tables at Stevens Creek Park.

RSVP by noon on Friday 9/20 to info@foothills-church.org with your name and cell phone number in case the outing is canceled due to weather conditions.

 

There is a $6 entry fee for the park so it is best to carpool from church.

To carpool: 

Meet at church by 10 AM.  We'll wait only 5 minutes for latecomers.

 

To drive yourself:

From church, take 280 So. to exit onto Foothill Blvd. Head west. Go through the signal at Stevens Creek, staying on Foothill Blvd. Proceed about another 2 miles to a left hand turn at the big sign saying Stevens Creek Park. If you see Stevens Creek Dam on your left you have passed the entrance to the park.  Meet at the parking lot at 10:30 AM.  We'll wait only 5 minutes for latecomers.
