Distance: 2+ miles round trip
Terrain: The first half-mile of the hike is uphill and a little rocky so bring poles.
What to bring: hiking poles, sun hat, water, sunscreen, bag lunch
Carpools: If carpooling, meet at church at 9:45

We will take the main trail to Borel Hill or, if it’s hot, we can take a right onto the Ancient Oaks Trail in the shade. Our outing will include a short ceremony. After coming back to the parking lot, we’ll cross Alpine Road to view Ohlone Indian grinding rocks near Alpine Lake. Bring a bag lunch - we’ll eat at the picnic tables there.

Directions
From church, take 280 N. Exit at Page Mill Road and stay in the left lane. Take Page Mill Road all the way to Skyline Blvd. (about 7 miles with lots of curves). At the stop sign, cross Skyline (which becomes Alpine Road) and immediately turn into Russian Ridge Parking lot. We meet here at 10 AM. The parking lot is large, with restrooms and water.
