Choirs and Music - Foothills Congregational Church in Los Altos

Church School Music is an important part of our school year program. Director Kristin Burns leads the kids in songs that complement the church school curriculum. The children sing for the congregation on Palm Sunday and in the Christmas pageant.

Chamber Choir: is our most advanced group. Singers read music reasonably well and spend some time on their own outside rehearsal learning their music. Performs on the 4th Sunday of the month. Rehearsals startSept 21st at 7:30 pm. Check music schedule for rehearsal times.

Chancel Choir sings a variety of styles, from Mozart to gospel. Singers generally have some musical experience. Performs on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. Rehearsals start Sept 7th, Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Check music schedule for rehearsal times.

Handbell Choir meets each Wednesday evening for rehearsal and music fellowship. The bells play in worship service once a month. Special concerts are periodically scheduled. Contact the Handbell Choir Director, William Kyle, if interested in joining. Rehearsal starts Sept 7th at 6 pm.

Summer Choir is for people with no musical training but who like to sing or those too busy to sing during the year. Easy music and no robes required. Meet during the summer in the Sanctuary at 9:15 a.m. Sunday morning.

Blue Robe Elementary Choir: All kids from grades K through 5 who enjoy music are welcome to join Foothill's Elementary Choir. We meet on Sundays from 11:15 to 11:45 AM in the Choir Room from September through the first week in May. No reading or prior musical experience is necessary. Learn through songs, games and exercises. The group sings for the congregation three times each year. Bring your friends too!
